It’s business trips like these that makes me love my job. The 6-hour road trip from Sabang was definitely worth the luxury that is Apulit Island. A private resort 30 minutes off the coast of Taytay, El Nido – Apulit Island is sugar, spice and everything nice all rolled into one awesome and refreshing experience. Jagged peaks, clear waters, beautiful beach, courteous staff, good food, beautiful cottages and the rarest commodity of all, peace and quiet, await all lucky guests. Of course, I don’t think I’ll be coming back soon. Great luxury always comes with a price. Be prepared to shell out moolah by the thousands. The memories? Priceless.

The way back home was also an adventure in itself – 1 hour banca ride to Sandoval Airstrip (in the middle of a valley somewhere in El Nido) for our plane ride back to Manila on a , get this, 20 seater plane. It was one hell of a trip!

Palawan you always take my breath away…literally.
