What is it about Sunrise and Sunsets that makes you just stop and stare?
Well maybe not all the time ‘cos when your in the city going about your daily grind, it’s impossible to step back and just take in the view of dusk, especially with horrible traffic. More often than not, you’re inside the office poring over deadlines and completely ignoring the magnificent view outside the window.
Okay, the same thing goes for sunrise because really, who wakes up early these days? Those who do get up at the crack of dawn are usually too out of breath from all that running and racing the sun. Sometimes, those who stay up until sunrise are mostly inebriated from the previous night’s activities.
So for those moments where you can actually catch a minute or two to just enjoy the view, the feeling is surreal. It’s the beginning and end. A moment that can never be experienced until it happens all over again the next day.
So what does sunrise and sunset mean for you?
“Sunrise offered a very beautiful spectacle; the water was quite unruffled, but the motion communicated by the tides was so great that, although there was not a breath of air stirring, the sea heaved slowly with a grand and majestic motion.” – George Grey

“When the sun has set, no candle can replace it.” – George R.R. Martin
