After all that classical and Baroque, I headed off to Weiner Prater to visit one of Vienna’s historical sites. And no, it’s not a church or palace or anything. It’s actually an Amusement Park known as the Wurstelprater or Prater for short. One of the first in Europe, the Prater was opened in 1766. Of course, through the years the rides have become safer and more awesome. The best thing about the park is that it has FREE admission! But you have to pay for every ride or attraction that you wanna go on. Not a bad idea though. You only spend on what you want.
The most popular attraction is the Wiener Riesenrad, a giant Ferris wheel. The park also has a lot of other rides, bumper cars, roller coasters, shooting galleries, haunted houses etc. Since I’m not a fan of heights and I get motion sickness, I just walked around and took photos. It was SO FREAKING HOT! Anyway, check out my pics instead.
